A wood fairy on her swing, surrounded by the idyllic forests of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, leaving behind a tail of flavours evoking the unmistakable nuances of the Mencía grape. For a time it was thought to be a variety of Cabernet Franc, but is now regarded as a varietal originating in Spain.
Red cherry colour with a violet trim. On the nose, it is a pure expression of Mencía, red fruits such as blackberries and raspberries with and liquorice. It has a spectacular fruit flavours with interesting slate mineral and spicy and toasted notes. It is delicious and well structured; its balance stands out with soft touches of tannin and a lasting finish that invites another mouthful.
Match with red meats, pork, lamb.
